Important information for parents and carers

The Thomashilfen Defender is a special purpose car seat designed to keep children with disabilities and medical conditions safe and comfortable when travelling. These car seats are an option when a standard Australian car seat doesn’t meet your child’s needs.

The Thomashilfen Defender is available from specialist disability product suppliers, and there are specific legal and safety requirements you’ll need to follow when using it in your vehicle.

MACA trained allied health professionals can assess your child's motor vehicle transport needs and provide guidance for complying with road rules.
