Australian Safety Assessment Program (AuSAP)

The leading global assessment program for vehicle restraint systems used by children and adults with disabilities and medical conditions

Overview

Established by MACA in 2020, the Australian Safety Assessment Program (AuSAP) is located in Melbourne, Australia, and is the first program to independently assess (including sled crash testing) the specialty restraint systems used by people with disabilities and medical conditions when travelling in motor vehicles.

AuSAP has delivered significant outcomes for the Australian community. Its testing, research, and knowledge-sharing activities have generated trusted evidence that is driving change across industry, clinical practice, and funding systems.
